What's the Big Idea?

There are many ways to tell when you have a big idea.

First, it gets people talking. A big idea generates conversation because many people can interpret it in many different ways.

Second, a big idea has forward momentum. Even if it starts slow, a big idea doesn't stop. It only gains speed.

Third, it has naysayers. That's because a big idea usually changes a dynamic or replaces another idea.

Also, a big idea can be both complex and simple at the same time. It can be far-reaching and multi-faceted and technically difficult, but still boiled down to a simple truth.

AT&T U-verse is a big idea.

U-verse is such a big idea, in fact with so many topics, impacts, sides, debates, challenges and trends sometimes it's hard to see the forest through the trees. Our goal with this site is to help put U-verse into context.

This site, maintained by AT&T Corporate Communications, will offer commentary on AT&T U-verse news that goes beyond what we're often able to cover in an official press release. It's designed as another resource for media and analysts to learn more about AT&T's broader vision for U-verse. We've started with a URL that captures a simple truth of AT&T's big idea: CoolerThanCable.com.

CoolerThanCable.com will point out news stories and offer other commentary related to AT&T U-verse. We'll attempt to add perspective on the here and now of U-verse (the trees) and, importantly, call attention to what U-verse really means for the future of the company, industry, competition, technology and consumers (the forest).

We hope you find CoolerThanCable.com to be a valuable resource for learning more about AT&T U-verse. Welcome.
